Everquest II

Okay, so I stopped playing this game a while ago (like 2 years ago).  Well, the other day, we got a postcard in the mail that said they had re-activated our account and gave us a free month of playing.  So, Bob and I log on and create new characters.  Oh the joys! LOL  Knowing how it envelopes your life, I have made a pact to not put the game over God.  You see, this can turn into an idol if I’m not careful.  So, I can not play unless I spend time in His Word first. :)   I like that rule. :)

So, anyways, the game was REAL slow.  I guess there’ve been new advancements in the game in the last 2 years. (No joke!).  Kelethin is back!!!!  And there’s a new race (the Fae).  I created myself a Fae Ranger.  Bob makes fun of me because I always create Rangers. LOL  Actually, I had a Beast Master once, but that was short lived, and on Everquest, not Everquest II. LOL

So, I say to Bob, “I think we need a new computer.  It takes too long to zone and there’s too much lag”.  He says, “We only need one if you plan on playing after the free month”.  So I said, “Well, I guess we need to get a new computer then.  How about for Christmas?”.  Well, I guess he didn’t agree.  We ended up getting the new computer yesterday instead of for Christmas.  I won’t complain. :)

No, I’m not on it now.  I’m working on my laptop right now.  Which, won’t let me have any access to the Everquest web sites. LOL  I guess my company must have had some problems with people and Everquest in the past. LOL  Oh, it won’t let me to youtube.com either . . . But it does let me to Godtube.com. :)

So anyways, we are back in Norath.  So for all of you Norathians, we’re on the Mistmoore server for EQ2.  I think our Guild is all but gone. LOL  But, I was doing a search on the internet this morning, and I found a Guild on the mistmoore server for Christian woman!!!  See, God is in it this time. :)

We have a new Pastor!!!

We’ve had an interim Pastor for the past nine months.  I love Pastor Warner, but I’ve been looking forward to having an actual lead Pastor.  I like change, change is good, but not knowing, has been tough.  I’m sad to see Pastor Warner go, really, but excited to see Pastor Flattery (our new Pastor) come into our church.  I don’t know when this will take place, as we just elected him, and he accepted on the spot, but he has yet to tell his current church.  It could be weeks or months . . . who knows.

Pastor Warner will be going to Brockton Massachusetts.  I hope he loves it out there in New England!!!  Maybe I should buy him a Patriots hat . . .

So, Pastor Flattery was at our church all weekend and we had various events that we could go to to get to know him.  He is an amazing preacher.  I saw him preach twice.  Saturday night and Sunday morning.   I wanted to go Sunday night too, but it was hard with the kids and Bob and all.  Bob watched the boys all weekend.  Anna and I had the sleepover at church, and then Anna had a birthday party that I took her too on Saturday afternoon.  So, I was barely home, and thought it was fair for me to stay home Sunday night. :)

Anyways, here’s the link to Pastor Flattery’s blog.

His sermons are online too (videos) .  If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll post a link.

Daughter of the King

It’s that time of year again!  Missionettes (err, MPact it’s now called) has started up again.  We have tons of new kids in our Rainbows class.  The first few weeks are hard with the new little ones.  Most of them have not been in a classroom type of setting and haven’t had to wait in line for anything.  So getting the 3 year olds to cooperate this early on has been a hassle, but I know that soon, it will be old hat to them and they’ll be behaving better. :)

But this weekend is the National MPact (sounds weird to say that instead of Missionettes) sleepover.  I’m finally sleeping over this year.  The past three years, I’ve gone and helped out and then left when it was time for the girls to go to sleep.  Anna is so excited!  We haven’t slept over yet and I know that she was sad that she couldn’t last year.  She’s so excited for this year!

The theme this year is ‘Child of the King’ or is it ‘Daughter of the King’?  Ahh, I can’t remember off-hand.  Either way, it’s a princess theme.  Because, we are all princesses, as we are children of the one true King! :)

Of course, I volunteered to make a castle cake!  It has to be for 80 young ladies!!!!  I’m beside myself right now! LOL  I have a design and all, but I’m not good at getting things done perfectly.  I did make a castle cake for Anna’s 3rd birthday party.  I turned out okay.  But I’m trying a different design this time.  I’m trying something more whimsical . . .

Here is Anna and her castle cake from her 3rd birthday:

And here’s one of the just the cake, but it’s not a good shot, as it’s from above and not from the front . . .

Here is a link to the castle cake I’m trying this time.  I don’t have the picture on my computer, or I’d try to upload it here. :(

So, you can see there is quite a difference in what I’m trying to accomplish. LOL  Wish me luck!  I have no clue how it is going to all come to fruition, but I know it has to . . .

My little man is getting so big!

Jimmy is getting big!  He’s been army-crawling for awhile now and just yesterday he got up on his hands and knees and started rocking.  It won’t be long before he’s fast crawling all over the place!!!  He’s totally into everything and has been eating Anna and Billy’s food.  Billy likes to feed him.  I think Billy feels important and as if he’s helping me when he feeds Jimmy food. LOL  The other day he gave him pop tarts.  Jimmy loved them!  So, we’ve started giving Jimmy some real food.  His first real meal was meatloaf.  I think that was all our kids first real meal.  He seemed to love it, but of course, he smelled like onions afterwards.

Jimmy is also starting to babble.  He is constantly saying Da-da-da-da.  Bob thinks he’s saying Da-da, but really, it’s just babbling. :)

I need to upload some pictures.  I haven’t done so lately.

Almost at goal!!!

Well, I’ve been doing a lot better on WW lately.  I’m down a total of 42.2 pounds now.  I am 7 lbs from my original goal, but I want to change it to another 2 lbs, so a total of 9 lbs more.  I told my WW leader that, and she balked at me.  It is still well within healthy limits for my height and age, but she doesn’t think I can do it.  Well, I’ll show her!!!  I’m going to do it!  And the reason I want to is because of the timing of my weigh-ins.  When I did WW last time, I weighed in in the evenings after I ate dinner.  My goal then was 125 lbs.  I was 3 lbs away from my goal when I got pregnant with Jimmy.  So, my goal is the same.  But now, I weigh in early in the morning before I eat breakfast.  First of all, you weigh less in the morning than you do in the evenings, it’s just a fact.  Second, I’m weighing in with an empty stomach opposed to a full stomach like I was before.  I’ve been weighing myself in the mornings and in the evenings almost every day to see the difference and it’s about a 2 lb difference.  So that is why I want to go the extra 2 lbs.  I tried explaining that to my WW leader, but again, she balked at me.  She may not have faith in me, but I sure know I can do it!

Oh yeah, and I eat a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Pumpkin every night . . . If my WW leader knew that she’d probably freak!!! LOL

My ballet star :)

Anna has decided that she wants to take ballet.  Before Bob and I ever had kids, we decided that our kids will be involved with one thing at a time.  We do not want to end up running around bringing our kids to places every day and not getting the chance to spend time as a family.  We know families that miss church and are never together because they are always off carting their kids around and they go in opposite directions every day.  We don’t want to be that family.

So, Anna was given the choice.  She could do karate or ballet.  She chose ballet.  She is so cute in her leotard and ballet shoes.  Oh, and she also learns tap as well, it’s a combined class for her age group.  She has had two lessons so far.  She actually does really well in the class.  She is eager to learn and she listens to her teacher very well (she didn’t listen well in our karate class).  Her teacher is amazing to watch.  She’s so graceful and elegant.  I enjoy watching the teacher just as much as I enjoy watching Anna.  Is that bad? LOL

But Anna still practices her karate.  Just yesterday she was practicing some punches and she said, “why can’t I take karate too?”.  It broke my heart.  Someone tell me why Bob and I made that rule!!!!

Been MIA

I’ve been away for a bit.  I’ve been busy with work and the kids.  We are all doing very well.   Unfortunately, our lives are so boring, that I don’t have much to write about. LOL  I’ll post other topics about the goings on over here.  But we are all fine and doing well.

This will ground you!

What a video.  I’m not going to go into details at how this moved me, watch it and see for yourself how shocking it can be.

I will just add that I believe he speaks the truth.

Cool video I found on Godtube.

I hope I get the video to show up correctly . . .

It’s quite an interesting video and  I agree with it whole-heartedly.

If my thing didn’t work, here is the web address.  I don’t think wordpress can do videos from www.Godtube.com.

One cool piece of art!

Billy and Anna are in pre-school.  Over the summer, they were in summer camp at the same place they go to pre-school, our church.  Yesterday was the first day of pre-school and they changed teachers and rooms.  What a day for Billy.  He used to be in a baby/toddler room and they did some fun stuff and a lot of educational stuff, but when they went from place to place, they walked holding hands or in wagons.

Yesterday, Billy had to walk in a line.  Apparently, he didn’t like the idea of having to walk in a line! LOL  But his teacher told me that he was not the only one.  All of the new kids in that age group had a hard time staying in line.  He was so cute though, and so glad to see me when I came to pick him up.  It’s not that he had a hard time with the actual class.  I’m good friends with his teacher and so he’s been every where with her and she’s been at our house and stuff.  So, he’s really lucky in that regard.

Anyways, I got all of Billy’s crafts from summer camp yesterday.  I brought them all home and they were sitting on the table.  Billy grabbed one and brought it in to me to show me.  He was very proud of it.  It is a painting he did with bubble wrap and the bubble wrap painted on paper looks like a honeycomb, so they had them put little bees on it.  It’s very cute.  I told him to take it and go put it on the refridgerator.  I said it a couple of times and he looked at me oddly.  I kept telling him to put it on the refridgerator, and eventually, he went into the kitchen and then returned without his painting.

Later on, I went into the kitchen to get something and noticed that his picture was not on the refridgerator.  I looked on the table, on the counter, on the floor, but could not find it.  I figured he put it somewhere, and didn’t worry about it.

When I went to make dinner, I opened the fridge, and there sitting on a shelf was Billy’s painting.  Apparently, he thought I told him to put it IN the fridge, not ON the fridge. LOL  He’s such a cutie!  I took it out and hung it on the fridge.
